Alexander McQueen, You are a Genius
Yeah, yeah, I know this is supposed to be a jewelry blog. And I know I've already done a non-jewelry post today. But I just saw this dress in the Neiman Marcus catalog that came to work and I think I stopped breathing for a minute or two. Can this be my fish feet?

ROTFLMAO. It's worth obsessing about. When I do my next obsession list, I might have to include it! I really do love McQueen.
You guys should see the print version. The color is so vivid, you get the impression you could maybe touch it through the paper.
I am in lust with this dress. I think I should have a torrid affair with it (why do people have say "torrid affair"? Does anyone ever have a desultory affair? An unsexy affair? Torrid would seem to be implied in th word "affair.")

I always thought that people might have boring affairs. Or pathetic affairs. But those might still be torrid in their own way. Or maybe torrid better desrcibes an outsider's perspective of an affair?

Good point...there probably are some pathetic affairs. But let's pretend they're all torrid. I showed this dress to my husband and he REALLY liked it.

Imagine the dress...WITH fish feet. Okay, erase that image from your mind. Even I am traumatized by that!
