Heal Thyself

September 11th, 2001 was a rough day to be human.

The following pieces feature stone that are known for their healing powers. Some people believe that stones can restore health and happiness, wealth and love. I think there is a solace to that thought, and I like to think people will take solace where they can get it.

18K White and Black Gold Aquamarine Pendant with 18K White Gold Necklace, $305

Aquamarine: provides courage and strengthens the will. Aquamarine protects against the wiles of the devil. Also said to help married couples re-awaken their love and work out differences.

Unakite Four-Strand Bracelet, $199
Unakite: a relatively new gemstone associated with the heart chakra. It is a guide to "transformation and higher self" and also is a stone for healing the soul.

Renaissance Tourmaline Ring, $350

Tourmaline: release anxiety, raises altruism, deflects negativity, neutralizes distorted energies, i.e. resentment and insecurity.

Rose Quartz Necklace, $110
Rose Quartz: A "Stone of gentle love," rose quartz is symbolic of warmth, the heart and love. It eases stress and enhances creativity. Rose quartz is worn to soothe the heart, to heal loss, and ease resentment or anger.

Tiger's Eye Snake Ring, $199.75
Tiger's Eye: used for focusing the mind. It is said that Tiger Eye offers protection during travel, strengthens convictions and confidence. This very warm stone is beneficial for the weak and sick.

Opal and Aventurine Necklace, $358
Opals: Used since ancient times to ward off bad dreams and protect.
Aventurine: increases confidence, and gratitude, promotes emotional tranquility and positive attitudes. Aventurine is a wonderful stone to use daily, especially during meditation and prayer.

Shaz, I'm with ya! Everytime I see a piece I like nowadays, it always turns out to be a Cavelli. Sigh!
