Today's Jewelry

What a madhouse! Work has been dead for months, almost all summer, and it suddenly picked up this week. At breakneck speed. On top of that, my computer is going all... floppy. Not the good kind of floppy:

More like the bad kind:

The thought of these two (plus one more not pictured) keeps me sane on days like this:

(I like to imagine kitty going after my earrings.)

Punch (it up)

So busy today, but here's a splash of color. Bright things makes me feel better when I'm stressed or busy thinking out things. We're discussing a move from New York, which makes me equally happy and sad. I love how available everything is; I just hate jostling with eight million people on a daily basis. Anyone have opinions on Philly?

Today's Jewelry

Oh people! I'm sorry the jewelry photos are not up to snuff. I just could not get this necklace clear, which is really disappointing as it is one of my favorites. I've posted an example of what it looks like with a different flower and shape.

The necklace is an ebay find--one of my many lucites that I love dearly. The ring I've written about before--a gift from the grandma. The earrings are marcasite circles which go with everything. No outfit today. It was too boring to handle; all black and white and... just really boring!

What the necklace looks like, for the most part:

which is available at this ebay auction, currently $9.99.

Today's Jewelry

Black stretch bangle from H&M, acquired yesterday with a merchandise credit that had been calling to me; my ole Casio; earrings you've seen before; I had to show the full outfit for my This American Life t-shirt, which is possibly my favorite t-shirt ever. If you've never heard of the radio show before, you should go download an episode right now. Also, be careful. The host, Ira Glass, is a heart breaker*. The t-shirt is from a live taping we went to at Alice Tulley hall. It was amazing.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

*I say this in jest, for the most part. Everyone I know has a little crush on the radio Ira. But, his wiki proves that he really is a bit of a heart breaker.

Friday Favorites: Itty Bitty (Flowers)

Just so you all know, I'm a first and last kinda gal. Usually, though not always, those are my favorites.

Today's Jewelry

It is so hard to dress for this weather without packing a million extra pieces of clothing. Black dress layered with black long sleeve tee. Last minute change hence the somewhat boring jewelry. I was aqua- and golding it out before I left this morn, but decided I would be too chilly. Silver hoop earrings from H&M--I tend to buy unusual silver hoops on the spot because it's hard to find them. For the most part, I kind of hate the plain ones. Onyx ring from... I am 99% sure this is from a NYC street vendor. It was at the 26th street flea market, if I am not mistaken. I liked the design. Also, I wear a lot of black, especially once it gets cool outside. The optimist in me hopes to wear a lot of bright jewelry with it, but, well, I usually wear black jewelry. It makes me sad.
