Opinion, if you please

So. I'm going to a friend's wedding at the end of July and I am sorely in need of wedding attire advice.
My mom and I picked out this dress today and I thought it might work for a daytime Sunday wedding in July. Yes? No? If yes, what shoes, hair and nail color?

[Updated to add: Commenter Delaney brought up some good questions, so I figured I should add some more information. This wedding will be taking place--service and reception--at a banquet hall on Long Island. If the weather is good, it will be outdoors. It is semi-formal in that the couple is paying for their own wedding and are making it as nice as they can afford, but they are young and just bought a condo. I mentioned in the comments that I had a crazy blogger's urge to go edgy with this and do black nails with black heels--click on the pick to enlarge and you'll see the black trim lest you think I am insane--but that's probably too overboard for me and possibly too overboard for Long island in general.]

Back to regularly scheduled jewelry business on Friday.

It looks nice, but then again, here in the joint, I haven't seen a lady in years.

Is it an outdoors wedding?

I worked as a caterer at tons of weddings over 2 years and I've seen relatively formal weddings even on Sundays, especially at hard-to-get venues.

If it's pretty informal, that dress would be great. It's definitely lovely and summery :)

I'll let someone else chime in on the hair/shoes/nails, however...

I love it, it's adorable! I would wear a pastelly nail color, maybe picking up one of the colors in the dress. As for the shoes, I would go with strippy sandals, either in soft gold, or in some sort of beige (as long as they aren't old-lady looking or too casual). Possibly warm ivory, too.

Pistols: Hey--I've seen Oz--some gentlemen pull off the lady look real nice, so thanks.

Delaney: It is outdoors as long as the weather cooperates. As for formal, I think not so much. My idea of formal is a chocolate fountain, which I was devastated to hear they weren't having. But truly, they are having it at a banquet hall on Long Island, but they are poor youngins like me, so not too formal. The service is at the same venue. Thanks for your help!

Marilyn: Thank you! I was thinking pastels too, but then I got all bloggery and thought about black nail polish and killer black heels to make it edgy. I'll probably stay safe with pastels, but a girl can dream...

I'd be PISSED if you wore that to my wedding! Pissed because you looked better than me!! I love it. And I think the black nails and shoes would be perfect, but maybe not for a wedding. God, i love that dress, seriously!

I vote go for black flats, as pictured, and yellow nails. The hair you're doing now is cute. Or a really sleek ponytail.

That is a very sweet dress. With the neckline I think the hair should be worn up--a fun fascinator or tiara-esque headpiece could be cool. I love fascinators. ^_^

Oh, sister, I COVET that dress. The neckline detail is adorable and the print is lovely and old-fashioned without being saccharine. Fits you like a dream, too! Nicely done.

As someone who has photographed dozens of weddings, I think it's safe to say that dress code is a free-for-all unless specified on the invite. Plus, from your description, this sounds like a pretty laid back event. This dress is a great choice.

The flats are cute, but I always opt for a heel for maximum gam-elongation. Maybe a slightly edgy black Mary Jane? Black nails always turn me off, but I never paint my own, so what the hell do I know? And I agree with enc on the hair - your hair looks perfect in these photos. Down would make you look to little-girly. A messy piled updo might be fun, too.

P.S. I'm taggin' yo ass:

“List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your spring. Post these instructions in your blog along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they’re listening to.”

I love your your dress, and I think it's great for a semi informal weeding.
As for the shoes I would advice some black sandals or shoes with some heels to give you more glamour.
Well, I like black nail polish, but I'm not very much into it for a wedding... I would sugest the yellow.
As for the hair I think that you should show the dress neckline, so I would advice that you wear it up.

seriously cute dress! the colours and cut are really lovely!

and i like the idea of black nails too. i'd probably do it but that's me. pastel/neutral would be pretty too though.

shoes...gosh, i'm no help here. i always vote for...well...sensible shoes.

you're going to look so pretty no matter what you choose to do!

Dress is very nice, and it looks nice on you. I'd go with nude sandals (kind of Carrie's ones) and maybe black nails is not so edgy finally. If nails are not black, I'd risk and go red nails. Hope it helps.
